One of the main shopping areas in Malaga is along the Calle Marques de Larios, which is lined with shops, fashion stores and cafés, stretching to the busy Plaza de la Constitucion.

Many modern shopping malls are appearing on Malaga outskirts, although most central districts have a good selection of shops on offer, particularly around the districts of Pedregalejo and El Palo, close to downtown Malaga.

Opening Hours

The majority of shops in Malaga are open Monday through Saturday, with most being closed on Sundays. Malaga's shopping scene begins at around 09:00, with shops staying open until as late as 21:00, taking a siesta break for several hours between 13:00 to 16:00, although a number of major stores remain open throughout the day, such as the famous department store El Corte Inglés. Many shops in Malaga reduce their hours on Saturday, closing earlier than during the week.
